Claims Assistance
ITG Worldwide is here to help direct you through the claims process. While each insurance carrier has different procedures to follow, there are some general rules concerning claims.
- File Claims Immediately – Please do not hold your claims until the end of the year or renewal date. Most carriers require that you submit claims within 90 days.
- Utilize Networks – Most insurance carriers participate in Preferred Provider Networks (PPO) or have established their own network of physicians and hospitals. Members that utilize the network will typically save money in the form of a reduced deductible, eliminated co-insurance or lower co-pay.
- Pre-certification – Some carriers require that you pre-certify medical treatment. That means the member must notify the insurance carrier regarding major services like a surgery or hospital stay. By not pre-certifying, the carrier may impose a penalty.
- Online Tools – Many insurance carriers now offer online tools to help members identify in-network physicians, make appointments, submit claims and other excellent resources to save you time and money. If you have not signed up for your carrier’s online members' area, we recommend that you do so today.
